FIELD TRIALS UPDATE
The F.T. committee this evening took the sad decision to cancel the 2 day trial on the 5th&6th October.
We have to think of the health and safety of all the committee, landowner, keeper, judges and all the people involved to run the event.
It would be impossible to run the 4 dog stake with restrictions on 30 people.

Officers due to retire this year are:- Chairman – Patricia Trotter, Vice-President – Colin Gibson. Executive
committee members due to retire are Trevor Willmitt, Christine Foster, Janet Bradwell and Margaret Woods.
All are willing to stand for re-election. Jennifer Hay has, however, advised the Executive Committee that after
the AGM she will be happy to continue as Club President, but she will not be standing as Field Trial
Secretary. We thank Jennifer for all the dedication and commitment she has given to the role for many years,
she will be a big miss. If anyone is interested in taking over the job please get in touch with Jennifer who will
be able to give you more information.
There is still one further vacancy on the committee and we shall be pleased to receive nominations, duly
proposed and seconded, for any of the posts mentioned above. Please note that all persons nominated must
have been a member of a Golden Retriever Breed Club for three years and a member of the Golden
Retriever Club of Northumbria for at least 12 months before their names can be put forward for the Executive

send you the relevant form. Please give some of your time to the club if you can, without the Executive
Committee there will be no club.

We hope to hold our usual eye-testing sessions in March and October 2020 – please look out for these
dates, which will be posted on our website and Facebook page, as well as being advertised in Our Dogs.
The eye testing sessions are always very popular so please try to book early to avoid disappointment. The
club magazine will be produced in Spring 2020. If you have any articles, or ideas for articles please contact
me or any committee member.
The Executive Committee would like to thank all the members who have supported our events in 2019 and
