EpilepsyThe Story So Far
When Margaret Woods was appointed Golden Retriever Breed Council Health Coordinator more than 6 years ago, all 13 Golden Retriever Breed Clubs in UK were consulted about the Health conditions causing the most concern. Epilepsy was the one that concerned most. The response was slow, but has steadily gained momentum as time passed. Cooperating breeders have consulted either Margaret or the Animal Health Trust and provided the samples and information necessary. Total confidentiality is guaranteed and when a DNA test is eventually available, all participating in the project will receive a completely free test.
